Well, if I had to decide how to get that thing I would make the gem in the middle a rare world drop, the blade a crafted one from ores of a raid dungeon and the hilt some ancient church relic.
Then craft it on a special anvil only found inside a dungeon, or let an important npc do the crafting for 100000 copper.

Yeah... something like that. :rollseyes:

Oh meant more like the "lore" behind it, I always make up a story behind my items maybe that's just me haha

Nah, I usually never think of some lore behind them.
Most if the time I would come up with things like "It was Heros XY sword, forged of unknown material, thousands of years old but pretty good quality, infused with some unknown energy...".

And no ones gonna remember things like that. :lol:

Agree I like it too, I get the ice vibe from it, like it should be from the frozen area.

Thanks guys, glad you like it.

@Liberator:
I guess the size for shields is 40x40px as well?
Where do I have to place the shield in the frame? In the lower right corner as well?

Sword

Ok, trying to make an icy shield for my sword, but for some reason I think shields are way harder to create from scratch than swords.

Shield (WiP)(had to use green because shields outline is black)

It would like something like this (cause I just copy and pasted it angles are messed up ofc)

The shields are actually four directions. You can find them in steam/steamapps/common/fantasy tales online/data/sprite/shield/sheets/ should be enough info about spacing for you in there :)

This shield got some huge potential to look sick if you get some nice colors with shades and make it a little more "metalic/steely".

I am really impressed if that's your first one.

Colors have such a huge part in making some mediocre or sick sprites, something which I struggle with sometimes a swell, but when you get the right color patterns / shaders you will be really proud and happy.
