Hello everyone! I haven't created any visuals yet, but I'd like to make suggestions on bosses and how I think they should work in the game. I'll start off saying bosses are a crucial part of MMORPGs. As a long time player of a popular iPhone RPG called Celtic Heroes, I can testify that everyone lives for bossing. The way they work in that game is as follows:
-Company releases a new boss occasionally (Always harder than the previous)
-Clans take a couple weeks on average to figure out how to beat it
-Clans try to take it down, and usually fail a few times
-One clan finally beats it, reveals strategies to everyone
-Boss is extremely hard and always drops a few good things but obviously, only a few players get the drops
-Boss has a spawn timer, can be hours to days
-Clans monitor that time and gather at the spawn when it's about to spawn
-Clans compete for the most damage to get the drop

This is how bossing should be. Comment if you think the same. Then I also believe that having dungeons with bosses at the end are a lot of fun too. Parties have to work together to get there. The raids are great for this aspect but I don't think they require enough effort, and I do understand they're still being developed.

Moving on to drops. There needs to be bosses with rare drops that have to be killed many times to get the drop. Then there needs to be the extremely hard bosses that always reward players with something good or nobody will fight them. Then there can also be weaker mobs that can drop something good that comes from a boss but it's extremely rare. In terms of drops, they need to be for all classes. Daggers, swords, and anything else that benefits specific classes.

Anyways, I want to hear what everyone has to say. I'll be updating this post and hopefully designing some things as well. Let me know what you all want and what suggestions you have. Thanks!

Sure, I agree with your points. Also, placing some world bosses as well as raid bosses would be nice (and the devs already said they would at some point).

This is something which I've tried hinting on for a while making the game cater to both hardcore players & cassuals.

However as you know there is a lot of players which start to whine when certain things are to hard or take to long time or if feel forced to join a guild (Which I personally don't care to much about cause I believe in a system were you get rewarded for the amount of time and effort you put into the game)

I would love to see your work and ideas.

I think of Sky Summoner Arena here, but I guess most apps have the same general idea behind it.

You click on the boss on the world map, attack him, die, and you depleted 0,2% of it's max HP.
The other hundred and thousands of players do the same and the guild/clan that dealt the most damage gets the drop.
Don't think things like that can be implemented in a game like this. As I said, mobile exclusive.

But the rest of your ideas are good. :cool:
