Streak if ya need help learning the color patterns etc just use one of the in game files as a reference. Every game has a different style and that is an important aspect when trying to create items for it. Some have a more cartoon look, Some need a more realistic look. I did spirit sheets for a more cartoonish looking indie MMO a few years ago so it is hard for me to knock some of those habits. But it can be done easily by just using the in game material as reference.

This is something I find very interesting but could never do properly, I think, due to colorblindness :/ Oh well, there's always music to me :)

oh wow ya that stinks Boss im sorry :(

I dont mean to sound weird or be a smart a** here but you could do black and white spirit work and all the people that like your work or wanna use it all they have to do is recolor! that is very easy and fast! The creative part I think you could still very much do if you have the proper Black and white only color sheet in the program? the shading can be done using only black and white very easy!

Would take time to learn but would be awesome!

Quick example a solid shaded line that is literally made by just sliding the B/W bar over 10 shades every 10 pixels or so... And then using the blend tool at all the transition points... this pic is zoomed in but when used in a Game the actual object is in a much higher zoomed out resolution and the object looks perfect.

Colorblindness doesn't necesseraly mean only being able to see black/white.
Most of the people just can't tell the difference between red-green, maybe Boss is lucky here and only has problem with these 2 colors?

Indeed, I can distinguish several colors, not just black/white, although that's a good idea Scheidy that I never thought of. To me, it's more about the... tone/shade of the color (don't exactly know how to say it in english)? For example, I only have trouble between yellow/green if the yellow is a bit darker or the green too light, get it? Same thing with red/green if the green is too dark, green/brown... also, in some cases, orange/green and blue/purple. Got a lot of crap for it when I was a kid, but now I'm used to it :P

Haha ya I wasn't implying you can only see black and white. But those are the only two colors you could guarantee the work would match color wise.

Funny Army story. I had a buddy who couldn't distinguish red and green... well long story short he should not have been able to join the Airborne unit we were in and when the lights turn green inside the aircraft that's when you jump... Well the light turned yellow and he jumped hahaha he misses the drop zone by about a half mile and landed in some thick trees haha poor guy.
